An unformatted USB drive not showing up by the systems. On Windows, use Disk Management to do it just by right-clicking on the drive and clicking Format. When formatting on Mac, use Disk Utility and click on Erase for you to format the disk. For general use and for compatibility with both Mac and PC, choose FAT32 or exFAT for the file system.
